God Answers

God Answers is happening again tonight and I am so excited for it!  Last year, God Answers completely exceeded my expectations.  So many people came, so many questions were asked, and conversations were started.  I can't wait to see what is in store this year. Tom wrote a bit about what he thinks of God Answers and why you should all be there with a friend!  

At its most basic, God Answers is a time to ask questions about Jesus and Christianity.  There will be a panel of pastors on hand to provide answers.  But God Answers goes beyond just a question and answer time.  It is a place to start a discussion with a friend.  It is a nonthreatening place where curious people can get an answer to something they are curious about, a place to invite your friend.  What makes God Answers successful is the discussions between friends afterward.  Few questions answered that night will be remembered for transforming the world, but the conversation you have with your friend the next day could very easily change the world.

Last year I was struck by how easy God Answers was, how well it worked.  People asked a wide range of questions and the answers given by the panel promoted a huge amount of discussion later among friends.  It was so easy to enter into spiritual conversations that had real implications of renewing the Mines campus.

Bring your friends to God Answers on Thursday.  I believe that God will show up.  I believe that the kingdom of God can be revealed through simple conversations with friends.  I believe that through asking questions the love of Jesus will be spread across this campus. 

I believe that God Answers is a really great place to start these conversations with friends, and also getting some of your own questions answered.  Be praying about the people that you will bring; praying that they will have open-hearts.  And BRING them!
