The Time Is Now

Then they gathered around him and asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"
He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and it all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1 : 6 - 11

I'm going to keep this one short, guys. Because we have the command!

To be witness in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the ends of the earth.
To be witnesses in our dorms, on the entire Mines campus, and the ends of the earth.

And the time to follow this command is now!

Have we just been standing here waiting for Jesus to give up more specific directions? Why? As the messengers pointed out to the disciples, we have been given our command, our job now is to go and do it. As John 10:10 says, we have the best gift to give people: the good news of Jesus and to let them know about his abundant life! Don't make it difficult, don't search for the perfect person or perfect conversation. Let your stories of how Jesus moves in your life flow continuously.

The time is now. The place is Mines. Go and do!
